OpenStreetMap Nominatim receives the places you enter. FOSSGIS receives their coordinates to calculate the route, and OpenStreetMap Overpass receives an approximate route area to look up mapped byway segments and nearby places. Polsia's web-search service receives approximate locality labels for public route context. These services may log requests. Use public landmarks or postcodes; do not enter a private home address or other confidential location.
